BlueSeventy Bathing Suits and Goggle Review

As a triathlete, I am always on the hunt for the perfect gear that balances comfort, performance, and durability. BlueSeventy, a brand synonymous with high-quality wetsuits, has been my go-to for open-water swims, using my “shorty” or what BlueSeventy calls Glide wetsuit.

However, it was only recently that I delved into their range of swimsuits and goggles, and I was pleasantly surprised by what I found.

The Podium Racerback – Hibiscus Swimsuit

The Podium Racerback—Hibiscus swimsuit caught my eye for its vibrant design and promise of a soft yet tight and aerodynamic fit. As someone who takes a size 32, finding a swimsuit that is snug without being restrictive is crucial. This swimsuit delivers on that front, providing a fit that feels like a second skin, allowing seamless movement through the water.

One of the standout features of this swimsuit is its material. The softness of the fabric is something you have to feel to believe. It’s gentle on the skin, reducing the risk of chafing during long training sessions or races. Yet, despite its softness, the swimsuit does not compromise performance. Its aerodynamic fit means less drag in the water, translating faster to swim times and a more efficient swim stroke.

Beyond Wetsuits

While BlueSeventy is perhaps best known for their wetsuits, their expertise clearly extends to other swim gear. The Podium Racerback swimsuit is a testament to their ability to produce high-quality, performance-oriented swimwear. As someone who has also had a custom-made Infinit Nutrition swimsuit, I appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into creating swimwear that is both functional and durable. The Podium Racerback swimsuit is no exception, washing well and maintaining its shape and softness over time.

The Flow Goggles

Complementing my swimsuit, I also tried the BlueSeventy Flow Goggles. Finding the right pair of goggles can be as challenging as finding the perfect swimsuit. They need to provide clear vision, a comfortable fit, and, most importantly, keep water out. The Flow Goggles met these criteria with flying colors.

Although they fit snugly against my face, they were comfortable enough for prolonged use without leaving significant marks. More importantly, they lived up to their waterproof claim. During my swims, no water leaked in, allowing me to focus on my technique without any distractions.

Thoughts

BlueSeventy has once again impressed me with their commitment to quality and performance. The Podium Racerback swimsuit and Flow Goggles are excellent additions to any triathlete’s gear collection, providing the comfort, speed, and visibility needed to excel in training and competition. Whether you’re a seasoned triathlete or new to the sport, I highly recommend giving these products a try. You might just find your new favorite swimsuit and goggles for hitting the water.
