Several years ago when I first started to run, I wore barefoot shoes. Everyone was wearing them and I found them exceptionally comfortable. I ran several half marathons in the New Balance barefoot running shoes and couldn’t imagine wearing any other shoe.
Then there was a trend toward cushioned shoes and I started wearing Hoka Cliftons and other brands. It felt like I was running on a bed, it was that soft.
