It’s Indoor Training Time
Thank God for the CompuTrainer! If I had to use my old indoor trainer, I would be going nuts at this point. When I jump on my CompuTrainer, my smart indoor trainer, I either ride Atlantic City real life course or I use the 3D courses. Those 3D courses are great. I can choose between Kona (which is ridiculously hilly) to a long distance duathlon course. I can even stay

Those 3D courses are great. I can choose between Kona (which is ridiculously hilly) to a long distance duathlon course. I can even stay on the flats for 10 miles. The thing about the virtual trainer is that although I may be riding the Kona course, I can change the settings to look like I’m in the desert or I’m in a city like Seattle or Atlanta.
I select my course, I print out my training peaks schedule with my training plan that includes my watts, I put in my headphones and play my favorite running/riding music and I’m off!
I watch as my avatar, which wears a blue outfit in lieu of my Iron Fit Endurance kit, spins through some beautiful scenery. Between the scenery and the music, I feel like I’m somewhere else. I’m no longer in my “pain cave,” I’m actually riding in the California desert and feeling amazing!
I find it easy to keep up with my watts and push myself to the extreme because of the visual and audio stimulants.
Let me know if you ride a CompuTrainer or any other smart trainer and what your favorite ride is!
