Product Review: Smartwool Running Socks
I love Smartwool products. For years now, I’ve been wearing the clothing and the socks for skiing. So, when Smartwool reached out and asked if I would check out and review their socks, I agreed.
They sent me two pair, both for running. They sent me the Women’s PhD Run Light Elite Micro Socks and the Women’s PhD Light Elite Low Cut Socks.
What I like about Smartwool products is they are breathable and they wick away the sweat from your body.
Both socks are made in the USA. They are made with 200 needle count and uses: 56% Merino Wool, 41% Nylon, 3% Elastane. They also both have cushioning on the ball of the foot and on the heel. They are light weight, comfortable and have a seamless toe.
Both socks have a narrow profile for women’s specific run fit. The overall height is 1.5″. The Women’s PhD Run Light Elite Low Cut Socks are 2.25″ high. They also both have a nice arch support as well.
I took the socks for the test. My preference is the micro sock. As long as a sock has the back tab or is a little higher in the back, I’m happy. I hate when the sock rolls down while you run! It’s so annoying. These don’t do that!
I found both socks great for a short 3 mile run or a longer 10 mile run. The Smartwool company makes a quality product that lasts. They both retail for $17.95.
