Getting the right backpack for swimming is often difficult. Some don’t have a place for a water bottle. Others don’t have a front pouch to hold goggles, earplugs, nose plugs, and headphones. I am very particular when it comes to mesh backpacks. I want them to be a certain way otherwise, I’m not happy. Recently, I ordered the Roka Pro Vent Mesh Backpack for Swimmers. Here’s what I thought.
Roka Pro Vent Mesh Backpack
The backpack is UV protected, chlorine resistant, and is made of nylon and mesh fabric that is super durable and very spacious. It has adjustable shoulder straps and premium webbing handles for easy carrying. The drawstring on the main pocket is easy to close. The bag holds everything!
I can put my kickboard, flippers, pull buoy, paddles, shampoo, body wash, and more into the bag. There is plenty of room with a 30L volume. The dimensions of the bag are 15″ x 6.3″ x 19.7″ (38cm x 16cm x 50cm).
I also love the pouch in the front. It’s large enough to put in my purse, headphones and more! There is also a 4-way stretch mesh water bottle pocket capable of carrying extra-large water bottles or two smaller ones. At first look, this is the perfect mesh backpack for the pool. (And with many of them opening soon, I wanted to get a headstart!)
Taking it to the test
I put in all my gear and the mesh backpack is lighter than the one I previously had. I love that it’s black and has good drainage. I can also use this backpack for open water. But, I may just use it for the pool. It’s nice to have options!
