With the government mandate to keep socially distant and wear masks, there are very few places to run. When I go to the parks, they are packed with people. So, I have been staying local, running around my neighborhood. During the last few runs around my neighborhood, I have been wearing the Skechers Go Run Forza 4 Hyper.
I really like Skechers. Every shoe I’ve tried, I’ve fallen in love with and the Go Run Forza 4 Hyper is no different!
Features:
The shoe is lightweight and perfect for training. It’s a stability shoe that has dual-density midsole to help slow pronation on impact. The heel is snug and molded for a secure fit. It weighs 9 oz in men’s version and 7.1 oz in the women’s version. The shoe has a 6 mm drop.
What’s new and different about these shoes are that they have hyper burst cushioning that is highly responsive and long-lasting. They also have a midfoot strike technology.
The toe box is large and breathable with durable translucent mono mesh and polyester upper for breathability. Interestingly, the bottom uses Goodyear rubber outsoles for enhanced durability, stability, and traction.
Taking them for a Test Run:
As I mentioned earlier, I really like the feel of the Skechers shoes. I continuously hear that they get a bad rap but there’s no warrant for that. They are sturdy, cushioning shoes. When I ran in them, I felt the bounce.
At first, I wore them with the inserts that were provided. Then I tried them with my custom inserts. I have to tell you that they were comfortable either way. I prefer my custom inserts but I could easily get used to not using them.
The thing about my run is that it’s not an easy run. I have been circling around the neighborhood and on the main streets like Bellmore Avenue, Newbridge Avenue, and Meadowbrook Road, the sidewalks are all chewed up and broken. You need a good shoe that will keep traction but not make it feel like the sidewalks are broken up. I felt great running in the Skechers Go Run Forza 4 Hyper shoes. Interestingly, I didn’t feel much of a difference between the sidewalk and the road. It all felt smooth to me and that made me happy.
Would I recommend the Skechers Go Run Forza 4 Hyper? You bet! They are a great shoe for anyone who loves to train long and train hard. They retail for $145.
