I went to Meta180’s offices the other day to experience something that I never experienced before, Reiki. (To be honest, I didn’t even know what it was or what to expect.)
The healer, Constance Korol, who I have known for more than 15 years, started a new path. Her new chapter focuses on helping and healing others through Reiki, meditation, yoga and more.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese technique manipulating energy for relaxation, recharging and healing the body from within. This healing method leaves you with more balance and more connectivity. Reiki masters/practitioners are attuned to the energy and use their hands over the client’s aura with some light touching to cleanse the body.
My experience
When I entered her home, I didn’t really know what to expect. I wore comfortable clothes. She told me to take off my watch and my shoes and lie down on the table. Through a series of sweeps across my body with her hands, she was able to see that I had excessive energy in my jaw. “Do you grind your teeth?” she asked me.
“Maybe at some point,” I said, “but I’m not sure I do that now.”
“I bet it’s all the talking you do through work,” she said.
Once she placed her hands on my forehead, I could feel a heavy sensation in my eyes. I closed them gently and went into a complete and utter relaxed state.
As Constance placed stones on various parts of my body to her waving different scents around my head, I could feel light and darkness. With my eyes closed, I could feel the brightness of the sun on my face as if I were sitting on the beach in Ft. Lauderdale. And, on the flip side, when it got dark, it became very dark, almost black.
Using essential oils
During the session, Constance has a calling to certain oils in her library. She used Panaway in the diffuser. Then in her hands she used Purification and Peppermint on my temples for stimulation.
When the 50-minute session was over, she said she felt something and took out tarot cards. She mixed up the deck and selected an interesting card for me, “Krishna” and read me what it meant.
“Krishna the goddess of Love. You are truly accepting that love is the origin of all life. As opposed to only two people experiencing together. This was your acceptance to love and light. Something you already were in tuned with, but now perhaps it helps you in your healing journey.”
Constance added, “Your sister and mom are sharing the love and light with you now.”
