Vimazi Z70 Shoe Review

Running shoes have evolved significantly, with brands striving to offer products tailored to diverse running styles and paces. One such brand is Vimazi, known for its pace-tuned shoes that promise better cushioning and efficiency.

Last year, I got to check out the Vimazi Z50s and loved them. Just recently, the brand sent me over the Z70 model, which is for slightly slower runners.

The Vimazi Z70

The Vimazi Z70 is engineered explicitly for runners maintaining a pace between 10-13 minutes per mile (6:20-8:00 min/km). This shoe features a slightly more comprehensive platform to enhance stability during your runs.

The Z70 is part of Vimazi’s 8-12 Min/Mile series, indicating its suitability for a more relaxed or moderate pace4. Whether you’re a man or a woman, the price point remains at $175, making it an accessible choice for many runners.

The shoes are for runners who can run a 5K between 31:00-40:00 or half marathons in the 2:20 range. You’ll feel more cushion and a lively response. While the Z70 is ideal for running within this pace zone, many people love walking in this shoe. It’s perfect for walk-run workouts.

The shoe has a 6mm drop from toe to heel and are extremely comfortable. I love the wide toe box, the cushioned heel and the fit of the shoe. I could wear them all day!

The Comparison

When I wore the Z50s, I definitely went faster than in the Z70s, which I found interesting.

The Z70, with its wider platform, seems to be geared towards providing stability, which might be more beneficial for longer, steadier runs. If speed and agility are your primary concerns, the Z50s might be the better fit.

Final Thoughts

Vimazi’s pace-tuned approach to running shoes is innovative, providing runners with the option to choose shoes that best match their running pace. However, personal comfort and performance also play a significant role in selecting the right running shoe.

If you’re considering between the Vimazi Z70 and Z50, take into account your typical running pace, but also consider factors like comfort, stability, and how the shoe feels during your run. Remember, the best shoe for you is the one that makes your run enjoyable and efficient.
